He started playing basketball in college where he played for the Richmond Spiders until his senior year, and he averaged 17.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.6 steals in each game. In a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Allen scored 34 points in his team’s win against California. He had 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks.

On December 7, 2013, he had 8 points, 4 rebounds, and also 3 blocks in a NCAA game where Richmond played against Wake Forest. His first game was against BG Gottingen on December 20, 2020, and he grabbed 28 points in 31 minutes.

On November 8, 2020, he dished 9 rebounds against Brose Bamberg in 38 minutes. On January 10, 2021, he had 5 assists in 31 minutes against HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim.
