Sawyer Christopher Fredericks was born in Newtown, Connecticut, on March 31st, 1999.his parents are Kirsten L. and Carl F. Fredericks, and he is the firstborn in a family of three brothers. His family currently lives in Montenegro County after buying a farm and moving from Newtown. Sawyer was homeschooled, and at the age of 11 years, he received voice training which has helped him in his musical career.

Sawyer’s talent in music began by performing at local events such as farmer’s market day, open mics, and local clubs. He also participated in the local talents search competition in New York, among the finalists.

Sawyers did his first recording in 2012, and he managed to record an album containing six songs. 0n June 4th, 2013, he managed to release his first audio album consisting of 15 songs.
The voice talent show season eight, which started in Feb 2015, was Sawyer’s moment of glory because he competed and emerged as the winner. In his audition, he sang “I’m a Man of Constant Sorrow,” a song he had written, and it is more of a traditional folksong. Sawyer chose to be coached by Pharrel William.

Sawyer teamed up with Noelle Bybee and sang Credence song “Have You Ever Seen the Rain “in the completion’s battle stage, and Williams selected him to advance to the knockout stage. In the knockout stage, he performed Howie Day’s song “Collide,” which made him advance to the top 20.

Sawyer broke many series records in the competition, with his ten single reaching the top 10 on the iTunes chart and 14 other singles being among the top 200 by the end of the competition. It is estimated that a total of one million digital singles were sold during the show. During the entire show, Sawyer was the leader in Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram followers.

Fresh from the show, Sawyer went forward to release his major debut, “A Good Storm,” with Republic Records. The song was a blend of soulful folk, blues, and rock, and he had entirely written and co-written by him. In 2016 he organized “A Good Storm” tour, which included 62 live shows across America.

In 2017 sawyer parted ways with Republic Records and became an independent artist. He also parted ways with his Mick Management team and announced that his mother would be taking over the management. In the same year, he produced an independent album and organized tours across America and Canada. The tour was organized between the months of June to December 2017.

In 2017 he participated in several events like the 518 songfests, Albany annual event of The Egg festival, Move Music Festival in Albany. Later that year, Sawyer announced that he was moving to Dreamland Recording Studio to produce his new album “Hide Your Ghost “which incorporated blues, rock, and jazz elements and live instruments.
