She was born on the 21st of January in 1970 in Pierre Part, Louisiana. Her parents were Charles Dupree and Ella Dupree and she loved travelling with them to Marsh South of Houma to learn alligator hunting. Her father did not allow her to hunt alligators until she reached 12 years of her age. She learned hunting traits by watching her father on the boat in backwaters of South Louisiana. That is when she got an alligator as a pet which was 7-foot long and named it Charlie Pie.

During the 6th season, production company, Original Media came under new management and made some drastic changes which led to Liz Cavalier’s career in Swamp People coming to and end along with a few other casts in the series, the production company did not disclose any reason for such an abrupt decision.
Taking out her frustration on the production company’s decision, she posted on Facebook, “Due to unknown reasons by the production company ‘Original Media’ my family and myself, along with other original cast members, besides Jeromy and David, will no longer be participating in the Swamp People series, starting with season 7.”
Her opinion was that it would be the fans who would be suffering because of this decision. She told everyone that she would continue to live her life as she used to before the show.
