Following this she started participating in competitive auctioneering organised by the Iowa Auctioneers Association (IAA) and the National Auctioneers Association (NAA). During this phase, she was able to secure a win at the Iowa Auctioneers Contest (IAC) in 2009. Having secured substantial success in the state of Iowa, Emily moved to Wyoming the next year, winning the Wyoming People’s Choice Auctioneer award in her first year in the state of Wyoming. She subsequently became the youngest female winner of the Colorado Auctioneers Contest in the year 2012. Following this sensational win, Emily again broke the glass ceiling by becoming the first female winner of yet one more award, namely the Wyoming Auctioneers Contest. The highest point in her career came recently in 2018 when she was able to win the highest accolade in the world of competitive auctioneering, the International Auctioneers Championship.
