Bray Wyatt was born Windham Laurence Rotunda on 23rd May 1987, to parents Stephanie and Mike Rotunda in Brooksville Florida. He is one of two children. He is known for being an American wrestler Bray is currently signed to the World Wresting Entertainment and fights under the WWE’s Raw brand. Bray has fought under many stage names including ‘The Fiend’, ‘The Fiend Bray Wyatt or under the pseudonym Bray Wyatt.

Bray Wyatt Career Details

Bray was no stranger to wresting and is a third generation wrestler with his grandfather, Blackjack Mulligan, who was a member of the WWE Hall of fame and his father Mike Rotunda. He also has two uncles who are professional wrestlers, Barry and Kendall Windham. His younger brother, Taylor Rotunda, is also a WWE wrestler under the stage name of Bo Dallas. Bray and his brother have twice won the Florida Tag team Championship when they were part of the WWE’s development championships, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). Bray was part of this developmental championship for about three years. During this time he had the opportunity to wrestle on the WWE’s main roster under the ring name of Husky Harris, where he was part of The Nexus. Bray has also been known under many other stage names including Alex Rotunda, Axl Mulligan, Duke Rotunda and Windham Rotunda.

Following this short Sabbatical into WWE on his return to the FCW, Bray was rebranded to his current stage name ‘Bray Wyatt’. Along with this rebranding came a new role within the WWE as an evil ‘cult’ leader of ‘The Wyatt’ Family. This unusual family consisted of Bray, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper and they were first seen in the NXT championship in November of 2012. The Wyatt family broke into the main arena in July 2013 where they were an evil group whose main aim was to terrorise other WWE Wrestler. Those subjected to the taunting includes Kane, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, John Cena and The Shield. They went on to win the Smackdown Tag team Championship and WWE Championship once, and Bray along with Mat Hardy won the Raw Tag team Championship. The Wyatt family in their original guise split up in September 2014. This appeared to be on Bray’s terms as he announced to the world that he is ‘setting Harper and Rowan free’. The Wyatt family had a few reincarnations including some new members Daniel Bryan, Braun Strowman, and Randy Orton. The Wyatt family was finally retired in 2017.

Bray spent his childhood days in Tampa and won a scholarship to Hernando High School. During his school days Bray played American Football and was a defensive Guard. He played 2 seasons for College of Sequoia in California. This earnt him his place in the All American 2nd team as a sophomore offensive guard. Bray obviously had a talent for American football as he received a scholarship from Troy University. He played for them for 2 seasons. Bray was only 27 hours short of gaining his Bachelor’s degree when he left Troy University to pursue his career as a professional wrestler. He made his wrestling debut in 2001 and Bray won his first ever State Wrestling Championship in 2005.

Brad is a larger than life character at 6 feet 3 inches (191cm) and 285lb (129Kg) but he is really a family man and has four children from his two marriages. His first marriage to Samantha Rotunda lasted 5 years and produced two children Cadyn and Kendyl. He has been with his current partner Jojo Offerman, an ex-professional wrestler, since 2017 and they have two children together Knash Sixx, born May 2019 and Hyrie Von Rotunda, born May 2020. They are not yet married.

Bray took a short break during the latter part of 2018 and in April of 2019 Bray returned to the WWE Programming under a new guise as a children’s entertainer. He was given the job of hosting a show called Firefly Fun House. Not long after Bray released ‘The Fiend’ onto the world of WWE and as this character, Bray twice won the WWE Universal Championship and has been the World Champion in WWE three times.
